I must have been a very good girl this year! Look what Santa left me under the tree.....
Canon 5D Mark III
Canon EF 135mm f/2L USM Lens
Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM
Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM
Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro
Yikes!!! I am a very, very lucky lady. I haven't really had a chance to try them all out yet but the photos above were taken with the 50mm F1.4 (with the exception of the shot of the 50mm which was taken with the 85mm) and at ISO of around 6400. This was in my kitchen, at night, with just one lamp on - as you can imagine there was very little light so the lack of noise and overall clarity is incredible. Of course I'll be giving the camera and lenses a more thorough test later - can't wait!
I hope you all got everything you wanted for Christmas too!
P.S This was posted on the Live Snap Love Facebook wall which made me laugh so I thought I'd share it with you!

hooray! you have the tools you need! the 100 and 135 look quite big. do they feel balanced on your camera body? the bokeh is dreamy with your 50 1.4!
Congratulations and wish you all good luck with new gear!!! Thats too expensive gear for people like me at least :-)
Wow, that's a lot of money under the tree. I'm glad you don't have a gun hobby!
I received the 85 for Christmas... can't wait to hear what you think of it.
Have fun with your new toys!
Wowzers! I'm not at all jealous ... OK maybe just a little bit! :)
I would love to hear your views on 50mm 1.8 v 50.mm 1.4.
Enjoy! x
I've been driving my husband crazy with the camera - I think he is regretting it already. I'll be giving them all a good going over once I have figured out how to work the camera (It's so different from the Rebel it's like going back to square one!)
